Christmas morning is a madhouse ... it certainly was when I was a kid and it still is now that I have a kid ... and dogs! The last thing a mom wants to deal with is breakfast. Okay, at least this mom. Try this easy Christmas tree made from cinnamon rolls to make the morning feeding a little easier!
The Davis Cinnamon Roll Tradition
We always had cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Christmas morning. They're easy ... either make them a day ahead or cheat and buy the kind in a can or from the freezer section of the grocery store. Either way, pop them in the oven, set the timer, and away you go to enjoy the unwrapping merriment ... or chaos!
Our cinnamon rolls came in the form of a Christmas tree. We had these every Christmas morning for as long as I can remember, and I've continued to make the Christmas cinnamon roll tree every year - even before Noodle arrived. It's just too easy!
So ... if you're like me and headed to the store today or tomorrow for the "have to get this before Christmas dinner can happen" items, pick up some ready-to-bake cinnamon rolls and start a new tradition. If you're more inclined to make your own, you might try Ree Drummond's recipe ... I don't bake and I can make them!
Merry Christmas!
