Christmas morning is a madhouse … it certainly was when I was a kid and it still is now that I have a kid … and dogs! The last thing a mom wants to deal with is breakfast. Okay, at least this mom. Try this easy Christmas tree made from cinnamon rolls to make the morning feeding a little easier!
The Davis Cinnamon Roll Tradition
We always had cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Christmas morning. They’re easy … either make them a day ahead or cheat and buy the kind in a can or from the freezer section of the grocery store. Either way, pop them in the oven, set the timer, and away you go to enjoy the unwrapping merriment … or chaos!
Our cinnamon rolls came in the form of a Christmas tree. We had these every Christmas morning for as long as I can remember, and I’ve continued to make the Christmas cinnamon roll tree every year – even before Noodle arrived. It’s just too easy!
So … if you’re like me and headed to the store today or tomorrow for the “have to get this before Christmas dinner can happen” items, pick up some ready-to-bake cinnamon rolls and start a new tradition. If you’re more inclined to make your own, you might try Ree Drummond’s recipe … I don’t bake and I can make them!
